Site Update 7/26

Hello readers! It's been some time since I updated my site or blog. That's because I've been focusing on mastering my craft. Chasing attention by telling people I'm going to publish someday feels like a waste of time, so I have decided to go light on that side of the business until I have actual, professional works to share.

To reflect this change in outlook, I have updated my website, www.christiandhorst.com. Most significantly, I have removed my sample Mobius chapters. They do not hold a candle to my current writing skill, and instead of proud accomplishments, they feel like ego-seeking embarrassments. Once I have something with an outside, professional seal of approval, I'll be happy to share it. Until then, I'll keep my nose to the grindstone!

If you're wondering where I am getting my training, it is writersroom.us, a critique community spearheaded by fantasy authors Maxwell Alexander Drake and Marie Mullany. I found them through their YouTube podcast, Releasing Your Inner Dragon, where they talk about the craft of writing. Their insightful critiques of viewer-submitted chapters convinced me these were the professionals I wanted to learn from. The year I have spent in their program, critiquing and getting critiqued by other writiers with equal passion to mine, has been by far the best experience of my writing journey.
